Couples therapy is a space for intimate partners to work on their relationship. Sometimes couples seek therapy to improve a specific issue in their relationship in which they feel stuck. Othertimes it's in response to long standing problematic patterns or hurt.

Therapy can help with the following concerns:
-
building communication and learning how to argue fairly
-
regain trust
-
manage changes in a relationship (a new baby, blending families, loss of parent, changes in health status, etc)
-
recovering from hurt or isolation
-
deciding whether to stay together or end the relationship
-
increasing intimacy
-
working with differences in sexual desire
-
navigating differences in backgrounds or family of origin
I want to help you say hard things to each other, learn how to respectfully work through disagreements, share vulnerabilities, have fun, play and be silly together, and find new ways to feel connected.

Couples therapy is often a shorter term time investment than individual therapy. We will work together weekly for a few months to create change that can be long lasting in the relationship. Appointments are normally 50 minutes long but 90 minute sessions are also available upon request or if we are working through a particularly emotional topic.
